From Dave Seale Head Coach The Woodlands To ALL - It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of Jack Schantz, JV Head Coach at The Woodlands. Jack and I had coached together for several years on the high school level and prior to that at the junior high level. He had been ill for many of those years, but his dedication to his players never wavered. Jack took a turn for the worse during our Spring Break trip to Disney last week. Jack had done much of the planning work to make the trip happen and wanted to be there to see it through. Upon our return last Thursday, he was admitted to Woodlands Memorial Hospital and passed away early Saturday morning. Jack was a Navy aviator during the Vietnam War and a captain with Continental Airlines for many years. Jack was one of the true ambassadors of our sport. His passion for the game was endless and his impact on players in The Woodlands and beyond was immeasurable. We will all miss him greatly and ask that you keep Jack's family in your thoughts and prayers. Please see below for funeral arrangements Funeral Arrangements for Coach Schantz are as follows: Friday, March 24, 2006 9:30 a. m.
