First Ever Women's NCAA Division I Lacrosse Game in Texas
Who: Duke and Stanford Universities
Where: Westcott Field, SMU
When: Sunday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m.
On Sunday, February 17, the Duke University and Stanford University women's lacrosse teams will meet on the campus of Southern Methodist University in the first NCAA Division I women's lacrosse game ever played in Texas.  The game will be played at Westcott Field, just north of SMU's Ford Stadium, starting at 2:00 p.m. The Duke women are coming off last year's third consecutive trip to the NCAA Final Four and enter the season ranked #3 in the country by Lacrosse Magazine. Stanford's women won their third straight Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship last year and in 2006 became the first women's team west of the Mississippi to be invited to the 16-team NCAA Tournament. Each team's roster includes a 2004 graduate of The Hockaday School. Senior Sarah Kirchhofer plays defense for Duke, and senior Megan McClain plays midfield/attack for Stanford. Both players earned All-American honors in high school, and McClain was the Dallas Morning News All-Area Player of the Year in lacrosse in 2003 and 2004. Don't miss this chance to catch these top teams play in this historic event. Tickets to the event are just $5.00 and will be available at the gate or in advance through the US Lacrosse North Texas Chapter's Web site at uslacrossentx.org.  For info contact Tom Fitzsimmons at tom@seimetalforms.com or 214-533-9547.
